Copyright and Content Policy

LayyahGo shows pictures, logos and text that restaurants and other people upload. Most of it is theirs and is fine. This page says what you may upload, what we do when someone complains that something belongs to them, and what happens to an account that keeps breaking the rule.
1. What you may upload
Upload a picture, logo or text only if you made it, or the person who made it has given you permission, or you bought a licence that allows this use.
Do not upload:
- Photos copied from Google, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok, WhatsApp or any other website or app, unless the person who owns them gave you permission.
- Photos or logos that belong to another restaurant, a food brand, a delivery app or a magazine.
- Pictures with someone else's watermark, or with the watermark cropped out.
- Pictures of people who have not agreed to be shown.
- Logos, brand names or packaging you do not have the right to use.
A photo you paid a photographer for is yours to use only if your agreement with them allows it. When in doubt, take the photo yourself with your phone. A plain, honest photo of your own food is always allowed.
2. What you promise when you upload
When you upload something to LayyahGo, you promise that:
- you own it or have permission to use it on LayyahGo;
- it does not break anyone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights; and
- it is not unlawful, misleading or abusive.
You also agree that:
- You are responsible for what you upload. If someone makes a claim because of something you uploaded, you agree to help us deal with it and to cover LayyahGo's reasonable costs, including legal fees.
- You allow LayyahGo to show it. You give LayyahGo permission to display, resize, crop and compress what you upload, on the platform and in LayyahGo's promotion of your restaurant, for as long as you are listed and a reasonable time after. You keep ownership. This permission ends for anything we remove.
3. If you think something belongs to you
If a picture, logo or text on LayyahGo is yours and you did not agree to it being here, tell us. Use the Help page and start your message with Copyright. Please include:
1. Your name and how we can reach you. 2. What it is, and the page address (URL) where you see it on LayyahGo. 3. How you can show that it is yours or that you act for the owner (for example, the original file, your own page where it first appeared, or a licence). 4. A short statement that you believe in good faith that it is on LayyahGo without permission, and that what you tell us is true.
You do not need a lawyer to send this. Do not send a message that is untrue: knowingly false claims can have legal consequences for the sender.
4. What we do
- We act quickly. We aim to look at a copyright message within 2 working days.
- We may hide it first. If the claim looks genuine, we hide the content straight away while we check, without waiting for a long process.
- We remove it if it is clear the uploader had no right to use it.
- We tell the uploader what was reported and why it was removed, and we tell them how to answer.
- We tell you what we decided.
LayyahGo does not decide who owns what in a dispute between two people. We act to protect the person who shows they own the work, and we may leave content hidden until the two sides settle it.
5. If your content was removed and you think that was wrong
Tell us through the Help page, start with Copyright appeal, and send proof that the picture is yours or that you have permission (the original file, a message from the owner, a licence). If you show that you had the right to use it, we will put it back, unless the person who complained tells us they are taking the matter further.
6. Repeat offenders
A restaurant or person that keeps uploading things they have no right to use will lose access:
1. First time: we remove the content and send a warning. 2. Second time: we hide the restaurant's uploaded pictures until they have been checked, and we keep the warning on record. 3. Third time: we may pause or remove the restaurant's listing and close its account, as the Restaurant Partner Agreement allows.
We may skip steps when the breach is deliberate or serious, for example copying a rival's whole menu and photos.
7. Pictures made by LayyahGo
Some pictures on LayyahGo were made by LayyahGo, with the help of AI tools, and are not photos taken by a restaurant. For example, the picture at the start of a menu category such as Burgers or Pizza shows a kind of food. It is not a photo of the exact dish a restaurant will send you, and the real dish may look different. The name, description and price next to a dish are what the restaurant is offering.
8. Our own pictures and brand
The LayyahGo name, logo and design belong to LayyahGo. Please do not copy them or use them to suggest that you are LayyahGo or that LayyahGo endorses you.
9. This policy and the law
This policy sits alongside our Terms of Use and follows the laws of Pakistan, including the Copyright Ordinance, 1962. If anything here conflicts with a law, the law wins. We may update this page and will show the date at the top.
